Obama vs McCain; Independents

I am writing this blog to offer my opinion on why independents should vote for McCain. I feel the decision however comes down to the following issues. FYI; the following comments comes directly from the official gov web-sites. (http://www.senate.gov/)

I am making the the following assumptions on what are the important issues:

1) Who is going to be able to offer real "change" in DC or who can stop the grid-lock and partisanship.

2) Work for a stronger more stable economy.

3) Best protect the US from terrorism.

1) What the candidates say during the campaigning season cannot and should be taken with a grain of salt as they are being told by their "handlers" what to say based on historical records of success on what works to get elected. Therefore I feel it is important to look at the history of the two candidates to get an accurate picture of how they would govern. After all election it would make sense that the new president should go back to their comfort level and the "real" person will come out.

- McCain has been in the direct center on voting throughout his career. In fact he is the most center "reach across the party line" individual in the Senate. (Voted 88% along party lines in history in senate)

- Obama is the second most liberal voting individual in the Senate. (Voted 96.8% along party lines in history in senate)

More common sense "non-emotional" reasoning to come......

Should we be "following" Obama or anyone in this way?

In viewing all the mass crowds that have been following Obama and seeing all the emotion, tears and hope. A question popped up in my mind.

The US is in a tough time right now, should we be looking to someone to "lead" us or should we look to ourselves to work harder, take responsibility for our actions and life and move forward.

Take a look at the web sites attached, I found both when I did a google search under propaganda.
